When did you know that you were really great with hair?

I knew that I was really great at it when I was 19 and a young lady wanted me to do her hair for her prom.

Tell us your favorite and least favorite parts about being a hairstylist.

My favorite part of my job is making women feel beautiful and seeing them happy after getting out of my chair. The least favorite part is being in the shop long hours which leaves me less time to be with my son and daughter.

Commission or Booth Rental?

I prefer booth rental because I think I see most of my money that way.

What advice would you give other stylists?

My advice to other stylists is to be confident in your work and be as creative as they can be because there is no limit on creativity. You can do whatever you put your mind to. If you think it can work, IT WILL and never let anyone tell you otherwise.

What are your future plans?

My future goals are to travel from city to city, share my craft and maybe teach some classes on some of my techniques.

Have you ever had a client that was not satisfied?

Yes, I have had a client who wasn't pleased with her hair. I fixed it with no problem. I've also had a client that I just couldn't please. So I calmly told her that I could no longer do her hair after 5 appointments of me not being able to satisfy her. You can't please everybody.

Shout-out your favorite products and tools to use.

My favorite product line to use is Nairobi. My favorite tools to use are my electric flat irons (I use them for almost all of my styles). My favorite hair to use is "ModelModel DreamWeavers" because it's reasonably priced and a pretty decent quality of hair.
